Piston Power Grease LCGR (POLY) 2 is a polymer-based lithium complex, extreme pressure grease, fortified with graphite, for heavy duty application where good adhesive properties are required.
Applications
Suitable for use in the following applications:
- Applications where extreme shock loads are experienced and/or where subjected to continuous high load, torque and centrifugal forces (e.g. couplings, open gears)
- Slow-moving, heavily loaded bearings, bushings and slides, typically found in the rigging industry.
- Ball & roller bearings, conveyor bearings, plain bearings, slides - general industrial lubrication.
- Heavy duty wheel bearings in construction, earthmoving and agricultural equipment.
- Large automotive and trailer bearings
- Multipurpose industrial applications with heavier loads and slower speeds. Sliding machine elements (cams and ways).
- For use on wire ropes, high load carrying capability, good protection against wear from rubbing one against the other.
- For the lubrication of 5th wheels, kingpins, tractor-trailer turntables, shackle pins, etc
Operating Temperature range
- -30°C to 165°C in continuous service
- Maximum temperature for short term is 220°C
Performance Features
- Very good thermal stability allowing the grease to perform for short periods of time under extreme temperatures, regaining its original texture after cooling to ambient temperature.
- Excellent Mechanical Stability. Allows for long periods of storage or non-use in the application without mechanical breakdown of the grease thickener (e.g. oil separation)
- Excellent reversibility. After being subject to high temperatures, the grease has excellent reversal characteristics allowing the re-absorption of oil released after periods of high temperature.
- The thickener has very good natural attributes which displace and resist water ingress.
- Exhibits excellent resistance to heat.
